Vehicle Description 1927 Model T Street Rod/Rat Rod project This car was purchased several years ago.
.
well, the body was purchased back in 2013-2014 and the project began.
The owner started acquiring parts Like the 59-62 390 Cadillac V8, which was rebuilt; and then the Halibrand quick change rear end and the Buick, vented front drum brakes and the custom made/Z'd Riley Frame Works frame.
The Ford T-5, top-loader, 5 speed manual transmission is in place.
The stock transverse leaf, solid axle front end is in place and has swing arm shock absorbers.
He started repairing little bits and custom fabricating stainless steel innards, had the seat reupholstered, ordered up some replacement wood bits The owner's husband was a racer and into classic dragsters, hot rods and even British sports cars.
This was going to be a classic 60's style rod.
Unfortunately, before he could start assembling the parts, he passed away, unexpectedly.
A very good friend of the family stepped in and took all the parts to his shop and put everything that was there together.
It will need finishing.
The hydraulic slave cylinder and clutch/throw out bearing will need to be installed, the rear diff will need some machining to fit the axles correctly; the height will need to be adjusted; a rood sorted out; custom exhaust bent up and attached; shocks attached to front axle; driveshaft set; electrical bits set up, etc.
However, once you get that taken care of, you'll have a killer rod.
Keep her as is, a rat rod, or strip down and paint everything pretty like and a great street rod.
The person with the right skill set could probably have her up and running in a couple of well planned weekends.
She is currently fully rolling and steerable and can easily be loaded onto flat bed or trailer.
Although not currently running/driving, the sum of the parts, if one were to order these up, is over $12,000 The widow is willing to let her go for $9000, firm.
Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule time to see the car or to correspond for purchase, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest.
